Kaley in my life
As a teacher I'm feeling tired and depressed because of Giannini's Public Education Reform. It's not only something connected to salaries which are low in comparison with the ones in many European countries. It's a question of dignity....They are just destroying our rights, democracy.....I fought hard to get this job and I felt 'safe', even though I didn't stop with studying and improving my skills: I like challenges every year, otherwise I get bored...I believe in what I'm doing and every day I encourage my students to make their dreams come true...That's why I suggest to leave this country because I think they deserve a better future and here they can't have it...
I'm feeling blue but somebody really special has entered my life: Kaley. She was a sunrise in my students' lives...She made us dream: her American way of living, her journeys abroad, her pictures, beautiful landscapes: Alaska, Utah, Oregon, Montana. Everything terribly amazing! She's studying at University in North Carolina. She loves photography, she's beautiful, nice....but above all she's a good person. She told us her French grandmother's love story during the Second World War. I liked the hidden poetry of her pictures. She's here because of EduChange project...Next time I'll talk about my grandparents' love story during the first World War because I think students are losing the contact with their past. History is in our blood and we can't miss what linked us with our ancestors.
